PURPOSE: An energy-saving coating composition is provided to block infrared rays from solar light, to emit heat from the surface of a roof to atmosphere, and to reduce indoor energy load by absorbing and removing radiant heat. CONSTITUTION: An energy-saving coating composition comprises 25-45 wt% of a water-dispersible acrylic emulsion resin, 10-18 wt% of water, 0.2-2 wt% of a foaming agent, 1-5 wt% of a plasticizer, 10-20 wt% of a calcium carbonate, 7-13 wt% of a heat-shielding pigment, 1-5 wt% of a heat-radiating pigment, 0.2-2 wt% of a dispersant, 7-13 wt% of a hollow pigment, 0.1-1 wt% of a tackifier, 0.5-3.5 wt% of a film-forming agent, and 10-20 wt% of an EPDM chip. The heat-shielding pigment consists of a zirconium and an aluminum compound.
