An apparatus for identifying a tool of a tool magazine is provided to allow a user to recognize tool setting caused by the erroneous operation of a worker through an alarm sound. An apparatus for identifying a tool of a tool magazine includes an IC chip(30), a chip sensor moving cylinder(40), and a chip sensor(50). The IC chip is installed in a tool shank(20) mounted on a tool port(12) of the tool magazine. The chip sensor moving cylinder is provided at one side of the tool port. The chip sensor is installed at an operational end of the sensor moving cylinder to read input information of the IC chip. The chip sensor moving cylinder is connected to a direction control valve of performing a switching operation through on/off signals to identify the tool. |
