An exercise apparatus (10) adapting individual physical ability and control method thereof are provided, wherein the control method including the following steps: determining if it is an automatism mode according to a pattern selection order after setting the message parameter of an individual physiology condition, reading an exercise course according to a course selection order received an the automatism mode, producing a control order controlling an action of the exercise apparatus according to the message parameter of the individual physiology condition and the exercise course.
