REINFORCING STRUCTURE OF HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES

PURPOSE: A reinforcing structure of a hydraulic structure is provided to reinforce the structure by putting a metal sheet member of a streamline shape on the structure and to convert a water flow into a laminar flow, thereby improving a drain capacity of the structure by reducing the occurrence of a vortex. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing structure (3) of a hydraulic structure mounts both free end portions of a metal sheet member of a streamline shape on a wall of a pier (1) with fixing members. The metal sheet member is installed on the rear side of the pier. An internal space of the metal sheet member is filled with sand or gravel. Metal collar member are installed on portions of a pier and the metal sheet member which are closed to the bottom of a river under the water surface.
