PURPOSE: A video-using monitoring system videotapes a customer counting bank notes using a counter and provides the customer with the number and amount of counted notes as well as the video file on a real time basis, making it possible to double check the counting status whenever needed. CONSTITUTION: A bank note counter (50) is connected to a counted note display unit (51) displaying the number and amount of counted notes, counts bank notes, and outputs the serial number and relevant information about the counted notes, event information, and starting/ending signals. A display camera (40) is located to shoot the counted note display unit and videotapes the bank note counter in operation. A customer camera (60) is located to take a picture of customers and videotapes a customer using the bank note counter. A main micro controller (10) includes a recording/storing program which records the video and voice videotaped by the display camera and the customer camera and stores them as a file along with bank note information, event information, and date/time information sent by the bank note counter. Controlled by the main micro controller, a display unit (1) displays the display status of the counted note display unit, the video and voice highlighting the customer using the counter, and the number and amount of counted notes.
