PURPOSE: A media contents distributing server for providing media contents optimized for each terminal and a method thereof are provided to supply each terminal with optimized media contents based on information about the different kinds of terminals, thereby providing each terminal with the optimized media contents in consideration of each terminal characteristics of the different kinds of terminals. CONSTITUTION: A request receiving unit (11) receives contents providing requests, including terminal information of each terminal, from the different kinds of terminals (30). A media contents collecting unit (12) collects media contents from at least one or more news media servers (20). An optimized media content generating unit (13) generates a plurality of optimized media contents, optimized for each terminal, from the collected media contents based on the terminal information. An optimized media contents providing unit (14) provides the optimized media contents to each terminal.
