PURPOSE: An item information update method of an online game, a purchase method thereof, and an information update server thereof are provided to induce users to purchase items according to new information by detecting and notifying a purchase request when there is the request according to existing information. CONSTITUTION: An item information update server generates information about items used in an online game and update detail files about changes of an item table stored in a database (S110). When the item information update server receives a request for updating the item table from a manager terminal(S130), the server stops the purchase of items (S140) and refers to the update detail files to update the item table stored in the database (S150). When the item table is updated, an online game server resumes the purchase of the items (S160).
