PURPOSE: A high efficiency thruster is provided to properly control the flowage of fluid in a duct, thereby efficiently performing the movement and maintenance of location of ship by properly corresponding to the various sailing conditions of ship. CONSTITUTION: A high efficiency thruster comprises a propulsion shaft (10) that is coupled to a hull, a propeller (20) that is connected to the lower portion of the propulsion shaft, and a duct (50) that is installed so as to surround the propeller. The duct has a hollow portion with a predetermined size therein. A driving duct unit that is built-in so as to protrude forward by a predetermined length is provided by being installed on the upper hollow part to be slidable so as to control the flowage in the duct.
