PURPOSE: An online sports game providing method and a system thereof make a high level user of a league have a sense of pride for his high grade or ranking; encourage a low level user to climb up through the ranks by allowing the user to recognize his ranking in an intuitive way; and promote a fierce competition among high rankers. CONSTITUTION: A league including a plurality of teams separately managed by a plurality of users is organized in an online sports game and a match of the league is rated regarding the match result when the match ends (S830). A set of relative indexes indicating the grade and ranking in the league are created for a first team and provided on an external interface exposed to other users along with the opponent's indexes (S840). A set of absolute indexes are created for the first team using the team's ranking in the league and provided on an exclusive internal interface along with additional absolute indexes (S850).
