PURPOSE: Mobile terminal and control method thereof are provided to increase a frame shift speed in case of moving many frames and to reduce a frame shift speed in case of moving a frame to a close frame by using simple drag operation. CONSTITUTION: A memory (160) stores a video consisting of frames and a touch screen displays an item in which a frame shift function corresponds to. When the item is dragged, a control unit (180) obtains a frame shift speed based on a distance in which the item is dragged and modifies a location of play of the video based on the frame shift speed. The control unit increases the frame shift speed as the dragged distance of the item is greater. The control unit obtains a frame shift direction based on a direction in which the item is dragged and modifies the location of play of the video based on the frame shift direction.
