An image forming device and a control method thereof are provided to largely reduce traffic of a bus included in a chip and improve a processing speed by removing a time for accessing null images in a memory, as a video data controller outputs null image data automatically without input image data. A memory(30) stores image data processed by a plurality of modules(10a-10n). A video data controller(50) outputs the image data and generates null image data by accessing the image data stored in the memory. A controller(60) enables the video data to generate/output the null image data automatically if the image data stored in the memory is null data. The video data controller includes a first storage unit(50a) storing null bits of the image data stored in the memory, a null data generator(50b) generating the null image data when the bits stored in the first storage unit represents a null image, and a second storage unit(50c) storing a polarity bit of the null data. |
