PURPOSE: A ternary alloy for a battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to effectively improve a cycling performance and to obtain a manufacturing method of the ternary alloy for the anode of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A ternary alloy for a battery comprises a ternary system alloy which is different from a binary alloy, and the ternary which is represented by chemical formula 1 below. [Chemical formula 1] M-Co-Ni M of the above chemical formula is one kind which is selected among metal elements from a first to a fifteenth group metal. M is Sn, and in other words, the ternary alloy is a Sn-Co-Ni ternary alloy. The Sn-Co-Ni ternary alloy comprises Ni3Sn4, Co, Sn and a Ni crystal phase; in this case, the weight ratio of Sn : Co : Ni is 100: 0.1-20: 1-30. |
