A method for controlling a digital image capturing device and a digital image capturing device employing the method are provided to correct unclear image information to solve a problem of a software image information correcting method that there is a limitation to obtain clear image information because image information before correction is unclear image information. First information of a subject is obtained during a time(t1) with first sensitivity. Second information of the subject is obtained during a time(t2) with second sensitivity different from the first sensitivity. An image of the subject is obtained from the first and second information. In obtaining the first or second information, an image formation position of the subject by an image pickup element of the image capturing device is maintained to be uniform although an image capturing device is moved. The first and second information are obtained under the same iris value. At least one of a shutter speed, namely, the sum of the time(t1) and the time(t2), the first sensitivity, the second sensitivity, and the iris value is previously set by a user. |
