<p>PURPOSE: A remote controller and a controlling method thereof are provided to reduce the hardware thickness of the remote controller and the number of components. CONSTITUTION: A first input sensor generates a command which controls the first function of a display device (250) in case of being determined as a first mode. The first input sensor generates a command which controls the second function of the display device in case of being determined as a second mode. A second input sensor generates a command which controls the third function of the display device in case of being determined as the first mode. The second input sensor generates a command which controls the second function in case of being determined as the second mode. A wireless communication interface (350) successively transmits one or more commands which are inputted into the display device through the first input sensor and the second input sensor.
