PURPOSE: A system and a method for dual authentication of a user using a position authentication message are provided to perform authentication for an access request, by checking whether the access request is generated by a valid command and checking confirmation through a location information message, thereby enhancing security. CONSTITUTION: A dual authentication server (300) comprises a communication unit (360) and a control unit (310). The communication unit performs data communications with a user confirming unit, a location information providing unit, and a user terminal. The control unit determines whether the user of a user terminal is a registered member of a location authentication message service by retrieving registration information of the location authentication message service from a user registration DB (350) when receiving a command from the user terminal. If the user is a registered member of the location authentication message service, the control unit determines whether the command is a set command to be approved for the registered member. If the command is the set command to be approved, the control unit obtains location information of the user terminal through a location information providing unit, and transmits a location authentication message to a user mobile communication terminal or an approver mobile communication terminal that are previously registered for the user.
