A device and a method for reducing vibration of a frontloading washing machine are provided to rotate a drum at a specific speed before excessive vibration of a tub and increase rotation speed of the drum at a proper time to reduce the excessive vibration of the tub. A method for reducing vibration of a frontloading washing machine comprises the steps: keep rotating a drum at a specific speed for a predetermined time before excessive vibration of a tub generates when the drum over a predetermined rotation speed(S310); and increasing rotation speed of the drum by judging an increasing point of the drum using vibration frequency of the tub(S330). |
