摘要 FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: proposed structure and method are intended for damping of a piston movement in pneumatic cylinder (10; 20) of a gear box. The structure includes pneumatic cylinder (10; 20), a valve unit, a compressed air device and a control unit; at that, the structure is characterised by the fact that the control unit includes a control device of valve units so that movement of piston (12; 22) is damped before it reaches the pneumatic cylinder housing. The method involves the following steps: valve unit (30) is brought into action by means of control unit (32) so that the pressure can be increased in space (V1, V2) that shall be used for damping of piston (12; 22) movement at least prior to the beginning of movement of piston (12; 22); valve unit (30) is brought into action by means of control unit (32) to increase pressure in space (V1, V2), which causes the piston movement in the specified direction.EFFECT: simpler structure and reduction of the cost.16 cl, 4 dwg
