The method involves bringing a flue gas in contact with an absorbent solution having amine in aqueous phase to produce a carbon-dioxide (CO2) depleted smoke and a CO2-loaded absorbing solution (C1). The CO2-loaded absorbing solution is heated (E2) to a temperature by heat exchange with water vapor to release a CO2 gas stream and a semi-regenerated solution. The CO2 gas flow and the semi-regenerated solution are separated (F1), and a portion of the semi-regenerated solution is regenerated (R) in a regeneration column at higher temperature, so as to be recycled as the absorbent solution.
