A motor of a washing machine is provided to save a cost and a time by installing a weight compensating unit in the motor without modifying components such as a drum, a tub, and a balance weight. A motor of a washing machine includes a rotor frame(210) and a permanent magnet(216). The rotor frame includes a base(212) and a sidewall(211). The sidewall is formed around the base. The base includes a hub part projecting from the base to reinforce the base. The hub part has a through-hole formed at a center thereof. A rotary shaft is disposed in the through-hole. The rotary shaft is connected to the hub part using a connector. As the rotor rotates, a rotational force of the rotor is transmitted to the rotary shaft. |
