the invention relates to a method of preparing a fully cooked farinaceous food product, said method comprising: subjecting the pieces of dough or batter to a heating process that includes bringing the pieces into contact with hot oil at a temperature of 150-350°C for 2-600 seconds, said heating process producing hot cooked pieces having a core temperature of at least 80°C and a surface temperature of at least 100°C; pulverizing the hot cooked pieces with an aqueous liquid, the surface temperature of the hot cooked pieces being of at least 70°C when the pulverization is started. The process of the present invention allows completely cooked food products to be prepared, which are ready to eat and have a soft crust, a pleasant texture and a high content of water. The completely cooked food products of the present invention are less likely to harden.
