The arrangement has a floor and a screening element (4) for screening a loading space and arranged in an upper face opposite to the floor. The screening element comprises a part (4b) moved with respect to another part (4a). The latter part occupies two different positions, where the latter part extends in a direction of the floor to form a partitioning wall of the loading space at one of the positions. The element is moved along a guidance system between the two positions, where the element is retracted partially or entirely while a partitioning position is located between the two positions. An independent claim is also included for a method for partitioning a loading space of a car using a partitioning arrangement.
