PURPOSE: A dual image-compressing image tracking device compresses/transmits only an image of a part where a certain object entered among images obtained from multiple cameras, updates/transmits a background image according to change of the background image or a time unit set, and thereby increases compressing efficiency of the image. CONSTITUTION: A dual image compression image tracking device shoots an image, and makes an image frame as binary block (100,200). The device estimates a motion block between a current frame and a previous frame, and distinguishes a block of a background region from a block of a moving area (300~500). The device compresses the block of the background region and transmits it to a background database, and then compresses a block of a foreground region in real time whenever detecting the foreground region and transmits it to a foreground database (600,700). The device displays the mixed image with mixing the images of the background database and the foreground database on an image display device (800).
