PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting damage to a belt conveyor is provided to prevent additional damage to a roller part and a belt by stopping a belt conveyor when detecting damage to the roller part. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting damage to a belt conveyor(1) comprises a fixing part(10), a rotational contact part(20), a detecting part(30), a control part(40), and a restoration part. The rotational contact part is rotatably coupled to the fixing part, and is interfered with a damaged roller part(110). The detecting part detects the rotation of the rotational contact part. The control part receives the detecting signal from the detecting part, and controls the operation of the roller part. The restoration part restores the rotational contact part to the original state. The fixing part comprises a fixed bar(11) and a support rod(12). The fixed bar is horizontally placed between a conveyor belt(121) and a return belt(122). [Reference numerals] (40) Control part |
