Disclosed are a method and device for MBMS receipt and capability transmission. The method comprises: a terminal sending to a network device MBMS information, in which the terminal is interested or which is being received by the terminal, and capability information about the terminal for receiving a corresponding MBMS service; correspondingly, the network device receiving the MBMS information, in which the terminal is interested or which is being received by the terminal and sent by the terminal, and the capability information about the terminal for receiving a corresponding MBMS service; and the network device performing corresponding processing in accordance with the received MBMS information and the capability information about the terminal for receiving corresponding MBMS service. The present invention can solve the problem of incomprehensive contents reported by the existing MBMS service information reporting mechanism, and then ensure the MBMS receiving continuity of the terminal. |
