A broadcasting receiving apparatus and a broadcasting receiving method are provided to form channel map information by an easy method and receive broadcasting on the channel map information. A broadcasting signal receiving unit(10) receives a broadcasting signal, and decodes the received broadcasting signal. An interface unit(30) exchanges data with an external device. A channel management unit(20) reads channel map information from the second storing device connected through the interface unit, and transmits the read channel map information to the broadcasting signal receiving unit. The second storing device is an external memory card or a hard disk of a computer. |
