PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the operation torque of a gate valve for a water line.SOLUTION: This gate valve 1 includes: a valve box 2 having a pipe line 3 therein; a valve body 4 crossing the pipe line 3 to open and close the pipe line 3; a valve body accommodating part 5 which is provided on the outer surface of the valve box 2 and which accommodates the valve body 4 during valve opening; a valve lid 7 closing an accommodating part opening 6 opening on the valve opening side of the valve body accommodating part 5; a valve rod 16 which has a collar part 21 expanded radially, and which moves the engaged valve body 4 in directions in which the pipe line 3 is opened and closed; a shaft seal accommodating part 11 provided on the valve opening side of the valve lid 7; and a bush part 22 which is inserted into the shaft seal accommodating part 11, which has a through-hole 25 into which the valve rod 16 is inserted, and whose surface on the valve closing side abuts against the collar part 21 to suppress movement in the valve opening direction O by the shaft seal accommodating part 11. In the gate valve, the bush part 22 has a bush 23 which is arranged in the shaft seal accommodating part 11 with an end surface on one end side abutting against the collar part 21, and the bush 23 is made of a material whose coefficient of friction witht the collar part 21 is smaller than the coefficient of friction between a copper alloy material and the collar part 21. |
