PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with various variations in a printing system which transfers print image data from a host apparatus to a printing apparatus.SOLUTION: In a model switch controller included in a station to which print image data are transferred from a host apparatus and which executes printing by the print image data, one or a plurality of print image data are inputted into a pre-stage buffer. Information indicating a model configuration comprising one or a plurality of combinations of stations are supplied from a print control unit to the model switch controller. The model switch controller controls a data distribution control unit based on the information indicating the model configuration, and selects a path for supplying one ore a plurality of print image data read from the pre-stage buffer to a plurality of post-stage buffers. The print image data are read from the plurality of post-stage buffers according to timing and supplied to each print section.
