PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image diagnostic technology for identifying objectively, accurately, and specifically a source of pain, especially a dorsal pain chiefly at a lower back site, and specifying the location of the pain, and a pain treatment method for delivering energy to the region.SOLUTION: A pain factor is labeled by a targeting agent or marker administered into the body. The labeled pain factor is imaged by means of appropriate imaging tools through a method enabling selective identification and localization of a source of pain or a region for transmission. The pain factor labeled and imaged in this way can contain at least one of neural factor, vessel factor, cellular factor, and inflammation factor. A position containing the pain factor joined by the selectively targeted agent is selectively treated by a directed energy heading for the region containing the targeted agent joined with the pain factor. |
