PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop device for an elevator capable of preventing erroneous operation and more surely generating a braking force to an elevating body in emergency.SOLUTION: An erroneous operation prevention device 24 of an emergency stop device 3 for an elevator includes: a stopper 31 which includes a roller (engaging section) 34 and is rotatable for a support frame (support body) 13 for an emergency stop between a lock position for preventing the displacement of a wedge (braking body) 21 to a braking position by the insertion of the roller 34 between an upper plate 14 of the support frame 13 and the wedge 21 and a lock release position for allowing the displacement of the wedge 21 to the braking position by the removal of the roller 34 from a gap between the upper plate 14 and the wedge 21; and an actuator 32 for holding and releasing the stopper 31 at the lock position. The stopper 31 is rotated from the lock position to the lock release position while displacing the roller 34 in a direction approaching the upper plate 14. |
