Anti-rattle gear (1) for the avoidance of gear backlash when the anti-rattle gear (1) meshes with a further gear (2) of a gear train (3), wherein the anti-rattle gear (1) comprises anchoring means (13) which rotationally secure the first (4) and the second (5) partial gear with respect to one another in the aligned position, wherein the anchoring means (13) are provided, during use in a predetermined gear train (3), to release the anchoring of the first partial gear (4) with the second partial gear (5).
