PURPOSE: An optical fiber connector is provided to insert an optical fiber when a stopper has been inserted to a stopper insertion hole, thereby easily attaching the optical fiber to the optical fiber connector. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber connecter (10) comprises a ferrule (200) with a rear end, a chuck disposed at the rear part of the ferrule, a ring with a front end, and a coil spring. The ring surrounds the chuck and is adhered to the chuck. The optical fiber connecter supports an optical fiber inserted from the rear end thereof. When the optical fiber is inserted into the optical fiber connecter, the front end portion of the optical fiber passes through the chuck to be acceptable to the ferrule. The coil spring pressurizes the ring to the front thereof, and then the chuck is fastened to support the inserted optical fiber. If the ring is moved to the rear part by the stopper inserted between the rear end of the ferrule and the front end of the ring, the chuck is released to free the optical fiber. |
