PURPOSE: An air conditioner and a communication device thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by converting necessary power between an inner device and an outer device of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A communication device includes a communication power unit(410) and a data transmission and reception unit(420). The communication power unit supplies half-wave rectification power as communication power by receiving the half-wave rectification power supplied to an air conditioner. The data transmission and reception unit transmits and receives data between an outer device and an inner device by receiving the communication power.
