PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck that achieves high working accuracy of a workpiece and requires no change of an elastic member during change in work preparation.SOLUTION: A chuck 1 includes a strip 2 which can rock within a range of a predetermined rocking margin and abuts against a workpiece 90, and a float part 3 having: a restriction member 30 for determining one end of the rocking margin in an axial direction; an elastic member 31 elastically deformable as the strip 2 rocks; and a spacer 32 having an axial length shorter than the elastic member 31 and an axial spring constant larger than the elastic member 31, and for determining the other end of the rocking margin in the axial direction. |
