The medical imaging system further comprises a memory (1210) for storing machine executable instructions for execution by the processor. Execution of the instructions causes the processor to: receive (900, 1000, 1100) image data (1212), wherein the image data comprises multiple images of a cervix (1600); and select (902, 1004, 1102, 1112) a diagnostic image (1214) from the image data.
