PURPOSE: An inlet opening and closing apparatus for a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to conveniently prevent the internal contamination of an air conditioner body by installing an opening and closing member by which an inlet is closed by self-weight and/or elasticity when a fan stops. CONSTITUTION: An inlet opening and closing apparatus for a ceiling type air conditioner comprises a body, a front panel, a fan, an evaporator, and an opening and closing member (50). The front panel covers the underside of the body and comprises an inlet (22) and an outlet. The fan is arranged inside the body and generates suction force and blowing force to circulate indoor air in the body. The evaporator cools the air circulating in the body by heat-exchanging with the air. The opening and closing member is arranged on the front panel and controls the opening and closing of the inlet according to the operational state of the fan. |
