PURPOSE: An active speed restricting wheel assembly is provided to maintain the stability of a vehicle by preventing the sudden acceleration of a wheel by being mounted on the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An active speed restricting wheel assembly (100) comprises a casing (110), a rotor (120), a sun gear (130), a resistance fluid, a cover member (160), and a wheel member (170). The casing comprises a circular accepting hole (111) and a rotation part (112). The rotor is accepted inside the accepting hole to be rotatable. The rotor comprises a rotation space (122) and a plurality of inner gear teeth (121). The sun gear is accepted in the rotation space and comprises a plurality of outer gear teeth (131). The resistance fluid is accepted in a space between the rotor and the sun gear. The resistance fluid prevents the rotor from being suddenly accelerated. The cover member is mounted on the casing to close the accepting hole and support the sun gear. The wheel member is mounted on the outer periphery of the casing. The wheel member is in direct touch with the ground to generate friction.
