PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar forceps with new configuration.SOLUTION: A bipolar forceps 10 for sealing tissue includes an elongated shaft having opposing jaw members 110, 120 at a distal end thereof, each of the jaw members 110, 120 includes an electrically conductive sealing surface 112, 122. The jaw members 110, 120 are movable to grasp tissue therebetween. The bipolar forceps 10 is connected to a source of electrical energy. The forceps 10 includes an assembly of stop member having at least one selectively extendable non-conductive stop member for adjusting a distance between the jaw members 110, 120. |
