PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions to enhance the antioxidant status of animals such as canines or felines and kits including the compositions and instructions for administering to the animal.SOLUTION: This composition comprises, on a dry basis, from about 0.9 to about 1.5% methionine, from about 1,200 to about 5,000 ppm taurine, from about 120 to about 450 ppm vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and from about 700 to about 2,000 IU/kg vitamin E (tocopherol). The composition is suitable for growing phase, adult, senior, and geriatric animals, and suitable for human and non-human animals. |
