PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a surfactant composition which contains a polyglycerol alkyl ether that exhibits high emulsification properties with respect to a silicone oil, which is blended into a cosmetic preparation, a cleaning agent and the like, by using a natural alcohol that is derived from a fat or oil as a starting material; an effective method for producing the surfactant composition; and a use of the surfactant composition.SOLUTION: [1] A surfactant composition, which contains (1) a specific polyglycerol monoalkyl ether and (2) a specific polyglycerol dialkyl ether, and wherein the mass ratio (1)/(2) is from 65/35 to 75/25; [2] a method for producing a surfactant composition; [3] an emulsifying agent composition which contains the surfactant composition; and [4] a cleaning agent composition which contains the surfactant composition. |
