The invention comprises: a control means for inputting a current vector command and detection current vector and for outputting a voltage vector command to an alternating current rotating machine; an alternating current amplitude computing means for computing an alternating current amplitude of a parallel component and/or orthogonal component with respect to the voltage vector command; an alternating current amplitude command generating means for generating an alternating current amplitude command from the current vector command; and a magnetic pole position computing means for computing a predicted magnetic pole position of the alternating current rotating machine; the magnetic pole position computing means computing the predicted magnetic pole position so that the alternating current amplitude is matched to the alternating current amplitude command.
