This porous resin particle comprises a polymer of a monomer mixture. The monomer mixture contains: 3-4 wt% of a mono(meth)acrylic ester monomer that contains in an alcohol residue a hydroxyl group and at least one of an ether group and an ester group, and that has an ethylenic unsaturated group only in a (meth)acrylate residue; 10-69 wt% of another monofunctional vinyl monomer having one ethylenic unsaturated group; and 30-70 wt% of a polyfunctional vinyl monomer having at least two ethylenic unsaturated groups.
