An instruction is fetched from an instruction cache, processing of the instruction is completed by a predefined method, and together with the completion, information indicating the final result of the processing is registered to a write-back stage. At the time of completion of registration to an execution stage, power consumption at execution time of the instruction in the execution stage is calculated according to the status of the CPU and the status of hardware in the periphery of the CPU, and at the time of completion of registration to the write-back stage, the power consumption is accumulated by adding to the current value of a power accumulation register, which is one software-visible register. |
