The switch has a transformable receiver coil part (3) coupled with a transmitter coil pair (2) for evaluation of magnetic alternating field. An alignment winding (4) aligns a difference signal of the receiver coil pair, and a control unit (5) outputs a binary switching signal. The receiving coil pair is connected with a pre-current difference rectifier (6) for phase-insensitive rectification and a difference integrator (7) for comparing the reception signals of the receiving coil pair. The switching signal provides rating of a transformation couple factor between the coil pairs.
