PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a worker may misunderstand that a collision sound generated in the middle of fitting an optical connector plug into a plug housing is a fitting completion sound.SOLUTION: An adapter 1 for optical connectors fits optical connector plugs inserted from openings 1e and 1f of both end parts of the adapter into a fitting part included in a cylindrical connector housing 1a so as to match the optical axes thereof to optically connect optical fibers. In one opening 1e, a shutter 5 for shutting the opening 1e and a slider slidable in a back and forth direction in the inside on the side of the opening 1e of the connector housing are provided. The slider has cam surfaces 3a for opening and shutting the shutter in slide contact with the rear end part of the shutter on the front sides of the right and left end parts of the slider and is formed so that a part of the optical connector plug during fitted is in contacted with a part of a beam portion connecting the side wall parts of the right and left end parts. In the connector housing, an elastic member 4 for always energizing the slider on the front side to shut the shutter is provided. |
