The present invention provides a V-ribbed belt used by being passed over pulleys. The V-ribbed belt is provided with a stretch layer which forms the back surface of the V-ribbed belt, a compression layer which is provided to one surface of the stretch layer and which has ribs extending parallel to each other along the longitudinal direction of the V-ribbed belt, and core wires which are embedded between the stretch layer and the compression layer along the longitudinal direction of the V-ribbed belt. The distance from the rib-side outer peripheries of the core wires to the front ends of the ribs is in the range from 2.0 to 2.6 mm, and the distance from the rib-side outer peripheries of the core wires to the bottoms of the ribs is in the range from 0.3 to 1.2 mm. |
