<p>A vehicle-mounted communication device (1) for transmitting vehicle position information via e-mail to an external mobile phone, wherein the communication device is provided with a memory (6) for registering in advance the telephone number of the e-mail recipient and for storing vehicle position information, a position information text generation unit (10) for generating a text message including the vehicle position information stored in the memory (6), and a telephone module (2) for transmitting via e-mail the text message generated by the position information text generation unit (10) to the telephone number registered in the memory (6). Each time the vehicle drive source is activated, the telephone module (2) to transmit via e-mail the generated text message to the telephone number registered in the memory (6), whereby the vehicle position information is transmitted even without a decision or a display of intention that the driver authorizes the transmission. Therefore, the vehicle owner is able to quickly discover theft and family or others are able to confirm the driving status of the vehicle.</p> |
