<p>Provided is a method for detecting a water content in an oil, which can detect a water content in a lubricant oil in a simpler manner compared with conventional methods. A method for detecting a water content in a machine lubricant oil (109) is characterized by allowing white light emitted by a white light emission element (101) to penetrate through the lubricant oil (109), allowing the light that has penetrated through the lubricant oil (101) to be received by a color light-receiving element (102), allowing the color of the light received by the color light-receiving element (102) to be detected by the color light-receiving element (102), and determining the water content on the basis of the brightness of the color detected by the color light-receiving element (102).</p> |
