<p>A control device for a vehicle, whereby a damping force control amount is calculated on the basis of the larger control amount between an above-spring damping control amount and a below-spring damping control amount, and the damping force of a variable damping force shock absorber is controlled. If, however, a determination has been made that the vehicle speed is less than a prescribed vehicle speed, frequency sensitivity control is performed whereby the damping force control amount for the variable damping force shock absorber is calculated, in accordance with the ratio between a frequency scalar amount for a prescribed frequency band and the frequency scalar amount for another frequency band, and output to the variable damping force shock absorber. Said calculation uses the size of the amplitude of an arbitrary frequency band in the stroke speed as the frequency scalar amount, for above-spring damping control.</p> |
