PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus in which supply toner amount calculation means starts to measure a toner amount in developing means (S35) at the timing based on the integrated value of the dot numbers and the edge numbers counted by dot counting means and edge counting means (S31 to S34). In the toner amount measurement, the supply toner amount calculation means outputs image data representing a predetermined pattern and forms a toner image representing the predetermined pattern on a toner image carrier to determine a correction value of the toner consumption based on the detection result of the toner amount contained in the toner image of a predetermined pattern formed on the toner image carrier. |
