PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tab tape and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method according to the present invention includes: a circuit pattern region formation step of forming a circuit pattern region including an input/output terminal pattern on a base film; and an exposure region formation step for forming an exposure region in which a surface of the base film is exposed in a transport region including a sprocket hole provided to the base film. According to the present invention, when a drive IC, a chip/drive IC and a panel are assembled, Cu or a metal pattern layer are not present in a sprocket hole portion at which abrasion is generated by a driving roller, and therefore, foreign matters such as Cu particles are not generated. A base film in a region other than a region in which the circuit pattern is formed is formed into a structure such that it is etched relatively thinner than a portion at which the circuit pattern is formed, and therefore, a reliable product capable of preventing short-circuit of the circuit pattern can be provided. |
